Driven by her love for her hometown river, Rani Sahay, a geography scholar and founder of Peepal The Resilience Lab, was saddened to find it a landfill upon her return. Drawing on her experience at the National Disaster Management Authority and UNICEF India, she mobilized her team and the local community. Together, they developed sustainable livelihood opportunities to address pollution sources, successfully reviving the river and fostering a thriving community.
