Terry Harpold, Ph.D., explores how art, myth, and fiction reveal the vital connection between our observations of nature and our creative imagination. He argues that addressing the climate crisis requires more than practical solutions; we must also embrace this vital connectivity to forge new, lasting meaning in a world in crisis.
Dr. Harpold, a Professor at the University of Florida since 2000, specializes in new media theory, digital humanities, science fiction, and environmental humanities. He holds a BA from SUNY Stony Brook and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and has received multiple teaching awards. This talk was presented at an independently organized TEDx event.
