Ensuring a just and resilient supply chain increasingly relies on Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), especially as new EU regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) mandate compliance across the banana sector.

A webinar, organized by Victor Prada and Valeria Villacorta, examines how integrating Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) into HRDD strengthens business performance, enhances worker well-being, and fosters resilient, equitable supply chains. This human rights-based, gender-sensitive approach improves operational efficiency, reduces costs, and boosts worker productivity and loyalty.

Among these innovations is GeoTanaman, a cutting-edge web and mobile system for Malaysia's food crops. Launched in 2022, it acquires, manages, and analyzes geospatial data to create a comprehensive National Crop Inventory. This project empowers young activists as local champions for bottom-up digital literacy education. Using cultural methods and online tools (e.g., a WhatsApp ChatBot https://s.id/kakinat), they teach combating hoaxes and digital security.
