The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event, from May 27-31, 2024, commemorates two decades since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) established a global framework for digital cooperation. WSIS aimed to build inclusive, people-centric information societies.

This milestone event will facilitate multistakeholder discussions to review progress, trends, and future opportunities since the 2003 Geneva Plan of Action. Co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP, and UNCTAD, and co-hosted by ITU and the Swiss Confederation, it will support both in-person and remote participation.

However, our brains are capable of change at any age. By practicing metacognition—observing our thoughts—and challenging automatic beliefs, we can rewire our perceptions and create empowering new narratives. On June 24, 2018, an interfaith gathering for Immigrant Justice protested President Trump's "Zero Tolerance" policy at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. Participants prayed, sang, and read scripture, opposing the internment of 123 refugees and the separation of parents from their children.

Despite officials portraying objectors as "radicals," diverse Portlanders united, led by love, to condemn the policy as immoral and support detainees.
