"The Seven Sacred Teachings" is an imaginative animated web series. Written by Anishinabe Elder David Courchene, directed by Indigenous filmmaker Erica Daniels (Peguis First Nation), and produced by Peg City Pictures Inc., it follows a young Indigenous boy on a vision quest. He meets seven sacred animals who impart lessons on living harmoniously on Mother Earth.

Manitoba 150, in partnership with Turtle Lodge and IG Wealth Management, proudly presents these animated shorts. Turtle Lodge, an international center for Indigenous education and well-being on the Sagkeeng First Nation reserve, is renowned for sharing ancient knowledge and fostering connection. The event explored how to maximize health benefits for Multnomah County's homeless population through healthcare reform and Oregon Health Plan expansion. Homelessness is a complex public health challenge where the struggle for stability often overshadows health needs, exposing deep fault lines in our current healthcare system.

Panelists included Crista Gardner, David Labby, Leo Rhodes, and Rachel Solotaroff.

Amazon Watch released "The Chevron Tapes," internal videos showing company technicians mocking contamination in Amazon areas Chevron claimed to have cleaned. The tapes also feature residents denouncing pollution and Chevron's practice of merely covering waste pits. One resident, José, tragically lost three daughters due to this oil contamination.

Chevron dismisses these damning videos as "out of context." However, José's home, once pristine, became a toxic waste dump due to Chevron's actions, including spilling millions of gallons of crude and dumping billions of gallons of toxic wastewater. A former worker corroborates being ordered to dump waste daily. José has waited approximately 30 years for help, underscoring Chevron's responsibility for this environmental crime.
