Innover pour mieux conserver les oiseaux d’eau dans les zones humides du Sahel
Sahel wetlands are vital for millions of Eurasian migratory waterbirds. To understand migration and guide conservation, the RESSOURCE+ project, in partnership with Senegal's National Parks, OMPO, and the University of Liège, pioneers innovative bird counting using drone imagery and AI.
RESSOURCE+ aims to preserve wetland ecosystems, promote sustainable management, understand waterbird use by rural communities, and propose solutions that balance human development with biodiversity conservation.
