On May 23, 2026, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) joined China's "International Day for Biological Diversity" celebration, hosted by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Shanghai Chongming District Ecology and Environment Bureau. The event showcased the Chongming Eco-Island project, demonstrating how biodiversity can be integrated into agri-food policies and promoted through local and national practices.
