Matika Wilbur, a leading Pacific Northwest photographer, has exhibited extensively in regional, national, and international venues such as the Seattle Art Museum and the Nantes Museum of Fine Arts in France. After studying photography at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and Brooks Institute, she became a certified teacher at Tulalip Heritage High School, inspiring youth in her indigenous community.

A Native American woman of the Swinomish and Tulalip Tribes, Matika is a unique artist and social documentarian in Indian Country. Don Alejandro Cirilo Pérez, known as Wakatel Utiw (Wandering Wolf), is a Quiche Maya spiritual leader from the highlands of Guatemala. He leads the National Mayan Council of Elders, serves as Day Keeper of the Mayan Calendar, and is a 13th-generation spiritual guide. Grandfather Cirilo is also a founder and Grand Elder of the Continental Council of Elders & Spiritual Guides of the Americas, and an Extraordinary Ambassador for indigenous pueblos in the Guatemalan government.
