In an ongoing effort to incorporate citizenship into the day-to-day operation of CSX, new management trainees in 2011 volunteered 2,328 hours over five different Saturdays to renovate The Sanctuary on 8th, an organization dedicated to providing education and enrichment to inner-city kids in a safe, welcoming environment.

Sarah Crowell has been a dancer and an arts educator for over 20 years. She has taught dance, theater and violence prevention to youth all over the Bay Area, in schools and community centers since 1990. Sarah talks about the Destiny Arts Center in Oakland, California and their Raise the Roof campaign to locate Destiny Arts Center in a permanent home.

Our company, Tees at Risk, is one of the first apparel companies in the US to be certified as a B Corporation. Our t-shirts are designed by at-risk youth, and each design benefits a different youth-focused nonprofit.
