SDG Digital, a cornerstone initiative, recently concluded its digital track with a formal joint closing involving key leaders from ITU, the UN, and UNDP. This effort leverages digital innovation for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aligning with the UN General Assembly and the upcoming Summit of the Future.

The initiative showcased how digital technologies can build a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future. By convening diverse leaders from government, civil society, the private sector, youth, and academia, SDG Digital fostered exploration of the trends, risks, and opportunities presented by digital and emerging technologies.

In 2017, Sy Adler and Jim Irvine interviewed Don Mazziotti, a key planner involved with Oregon's Statewide Planning Goal 10, which focuses on accommodating needed housing. Mazziotti's extensive career includes serving as Beaverton's Community and Economic Development Director, heading the Portland Development Commission, and acting as Portland's chief planner in the 1970s. He also held roles as Oregon's chief information officer and U.S. deputy assistant secretary of transportation.

As CEO of Feeding San Diego, the county’s leading hunger relief agency, Hall spearheads innovative food rescue efforts. Under his leadership, the organization provides over 25 million meals annually, addressing hunger for one-eighth of San Diegans, including 127,000 children.
