Lian Pin Koh, a conservation scientist, discusses climate change and its post-COVID impact in a new normal. He is Professor of Conservation Science, Technology and Policy, and Director of the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions at the National University of Singapore.

Koh founded ConservationDrones.org, a non-profit introducing drone technology to conservationists globally. His career includes leadership roles at the University of Adelaide and Conservation International. He has received multiple accolades, including the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader recognition.

With over forty years of experience serving the Unangan (Aleut) and other indigenous peoples, Merculieff is a passionate advocate for indigenous rights and a harmonious relationship with Mother Earth. An award-winning consultant, he leads the Global Center for Indigenous Leadership and Lifeways and advises the World Wilderness Congress. The discussion is moderated by Andrei Gheorghe.

Gordian Raacke, Executive Director of Renewable Energy Long Island, will explain the necessity and method for transitioning to a 100% renewable energy supply, both globally and locally.

With a civil engineering degree and 25 years in regional energy, Raacke is a recognized expert. He co-founded the Long Island Offshore Wind Initiative, helped develop the local solar market, and was trained by Al Gore as a Climate Reality Leader. He also led a 2011 study on a 100% renewable electricity future for the region and serves on local sustainability committees.

A City Club research committee is also studying how Multnomah County's homeless population can benefit from healthcare reforms, with results due in January. The City Club of Portland has dedicated 2014 to finding practical solutions to end local homelessness through research, advocacy, and public forums.
