Giorgia Spigno, associate professor in food science and technology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, helps us to understand this. Giorgia Spigno is Associate Professor in food science and technology at the DiSTAS – Department for Sustainable Food Process of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. She holds a MSc degree in Food Science and Technology (1999, UCSC) and a PhD in Chemical and Process Engineering (2003, Università degli Studi di Genova, Italy). Kate also shares how the Doughnut Economics Action Lab will help more cities such as Amsterdam develop their Doughnut City Portraits. Because, especially in light of the climate crisis, we may soon find them falling short of our expectations. Introduced to the world of environmental advocacy in middle school, Jacob has spent the past six years working with environmental nonprofits and his school community to increase awareness and action on environmental issues. He hopes to work alongside his peers to create a better and more just world for all while redefining what exactly it means to be an advocate in the midst of an ever-changing world. Where would you go?” Ema Pasic Reid describes what she and her family experienced as survivors and refugees of the Bosnian War that erupted in the early 1990s. Ema Pasic Reid is a Marketing Manager at New Balance within their North America division. Prior to this role, Ema was an Account Director at Brand Networks, a venture-backed technology startup in the social media space. Ema was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and, recently, her MBA from Tuck's School of Business.
