With a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainability and innovation, he collaborates with multinational companies, government agencies, and nonprofits to develop solutions. His work aims to connect startup community concepts to tackle water issues worldwide.

Jared is the co-founder of PwrdBy, a social impact incubator with a diverse portfolio including hydro-economic scenario visualizations. He also serves as Director at Water Foundry Advisors, a firm dedicated to water sustainability strategy. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Jared brings extensive expertise in product development and environmental science.

A chronicle of the lives and economic struggles of two families in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, one Black and one white, across more than three decades, this "knockout documentary" (The New York Times) raises unsettling questions about the changing nature of the American economy.

"Two American Families: 1991-2024" documents the saga of two families, the Stanleys and the Neumanns, who have spent the past 34 years battling to keep from sliding into poverty, and who refuse to give up despite upheaval in the U.S. economy. When the team first began documenting the families’ lives in 1991, the Neumanns and Stanleys were both struggling to adapt to a new, global economy and the trend towards part-time, lower-wage work.

With profound intimacy, the documentary follows the stories of the Stanleys and the Neumanns across six presidential administrations and offers a powerful window into how they and their now-grown children have fared while trying to stay afloat in an economy that has presented challenge after challenge for them.

"There are so many people struggling the same way with the cost of everything and not getting enough on your paycheck to cover your monthly expenses," said Terry Neumann, who was a mom of young kids when the documentary's producers began filming with her and is now in her early 60s. "It's like we haven't come very far."

"I won't give up," said Jackie Stanley, who is working as a real estate agent while entering her 70s.

Indonesia is the world's second-largest food waste contributor, despite widespread poverty and unsustainable protein sources threatening marine ecosystems. Rendria Labde, co-founder of agritech Magalarva, offers a solution. Inspired by a landfill visit, he founded Magalarva in 2017, utilizing Black Soldier Flies (BSF) as a natural intervention.

At Magalarva, BSF larvae efficiently consume organic waste. These larvae are then harvested and converted into valuable products like fertilizer, fishmeal, or dried protein powder for pets, providing a sustainable solution to waste and protein scarcity.

Water Protectors at the main resistance camp in North Dakota vowed continued resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) as the camp was largely vacated following a Wednesday eviction order. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and North Dakota governor imposed a deadline, leading to around 10 arrests. Before the eviction, prayer ceremonies were held, and part of the camp was set on fire.

Protectors assert the camp sits on unceded Sioux territory under the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie. While most left, a couple dozen people remain. This encampment, once hosting over 10,000, was the largest gathering of Native Americans in decades. Construction on the final pipeline section resumed after the Trump administration granted an easement to drill beneath the Missouri River.
