In support of the UN Youth Climate Summit, the Carnegie Climate Governance Initiative (C2G) hosted a series of interactive games for young climate leaders exploring how society might tackle difficult decisions about whether or not to deploy climate-altering technologies to tackle global heating. Climate Interactive led a thought-provoking “Model-UN-like” negotiating game with the latest En-roads Climate Solutions Simulation – a powerful new interactive exploration of the combined effects of different policies and technologies on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, and on global temperatures. The session was held at the offices of Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, New York City, September 22, 2019.

Danat's talk is a captivating discussion about youth being the driving force for sustainability and to us viewers on reflecting on ourselves. If you are unsure of what sustainability really is, then this is a must watch.
Danat Tekie is a young and engaged earthpreneur (the word earthpreneur means making sustainability business as usual). She is the Chief External Relations of the global organization, Young Sustainable Impact. It is a global organisation working to solve the sustainability challenges through entrepreneurship and innovation by gathering the smartest young minds from all over the world to create impact startups from scratch. Prior to YSI, Danat was part of building the organisation Future Leaders Global, which has become the biggest and fastest growing leadership program for youth in the Nordics. She is passionate about leadership and making sustainability business as usual. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. A recent survey by the Pew Research Center finds that, in general, highly religious Americans are less likely to express concern about climate change. But the research also shows that young religious adults, including evangelical Protestants under 30, are much more likely than older people in those same religious groups to say that human activity is warming the planet and that global climate change is a serious problem. And, on college campuses across the United States, there are now Christian, Jewish, Muslim and other religious groups urging collective action to cut carbon emissions.

On April 26, 2023, we hosted a panel discussion with young Americans from a variety of religious backgrounds. They will discuss how their religious commitments mesh with their campus activism, share stories about how they came to their current views, and talk about the impact they have had – or hope to have – on older Americans inside and outside their own religious traditions.
