Ankit Jain is a technology executive and entrepreneur. Over the last five years, he has been part of the Ola Group where he launched multiple businesses including Ola Corporate, Ola Prime Exec, Ola Labs, Ola Play and most recently Ola Electric, a unicorn in its own right, focusing on personal and shared electric mobility. Prior to that, Ankit worked at McKinsey and Company, Inc. in their tech practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ankit is a Siebel Scholar, a Legatum Fellow, and an alum of both IIT Bombay and MIT Sloan. Ankit Jain is a technology executive and entrepreneur. Jeff learns about the powerful connection between elephant seal mothers and babies and discovers new information about their time in the open ocean. The event brought together Indigenous journalists, media professionals, and experts from around the world to discuss and address the pressing issues faced by Indigenous media practitioners. The conference also provided an opportunity to celebrate their contributions and achievements. Going Beyond The Land Acknowledgement with Elder Dr. Dave Courchene

Recording of a visual conversation with Elder Dr. Dave Courchene — Nii Gaani Aki Innini (Leading Earth Man) — a respected Elder and Knowledge Keeper of the Anishinaabe Nation who has devoted his life to sharing Indigenous knowledge, carrying a message of hope, peace and environmental stewardship. In 2002, Elder Dr. Courchene founded the Turtle Lodge International Centre for Indigenous Education and Wellness, a sacred lodge recognized internationally and by Indigenous Knowledge Keepers as well as the Assembly of First Nations and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs as one of the most important gathering places for Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

Moderator Valérie Courtois facilitates a dialogue amongst Miles Richardson, O.C.; Dr. David Suzuki; Dr. Nancy Turner; and Elder Dr. Dave Courchene, Jr.; on the need for reconciliation between Indigenous and Western scientific ways of knowing. In our first dialogue in this series - "Why Do We Need to Reconcile Ways of Knowing?" - these leaders in working at the confluence of Indigenous and scientific knowledge and decision making discuss the events, issues and relationships that made it clear that a national-scale dialogue to facilitate just reconciliation between the ways of knowing and ways of being of Indigenous Peoples and Canadians, and their respective governments, is needed.
