Pauline talks about how we are stuck in a paradigm and how our ethics and beliefs help us in taking action against climate change. Pauline holds a master’s degree in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris and has developed her expertise in strategy consulting and social entrepreneurship In the frame of the AQWA project, she travelled the world for a year at the service of non-profits - in Africa, Asia and South America. In 2018, she joined Techno India Group,and is now Sustainability Director of the Group, where she is striving to create more learning and professional opportunities for students in the sustainability sectors, especially through her network-based venture Y-East. She has also joined hands with multiple other ventures, as Head of Social Innovation of Incubator Technopreneurs Surrogate Ventures; Curator at Offbeat CCU; Climate Reality Leader; Council Member of WICCI's West Bengal Sustainable Business Council; Partner at Paris-based Sustainability Consultancy The SASI Co.; Member of the Advisory Board for Bett Asia educational conference; Founding Trustee of Alag Soch. Since 1989 the NW Coastal Indians have participated in a Canoe Journey to villages on the ancestral highways of the Salish Sea. The commitment to be a part of this means joining a canoe family that excludes members from alcohol or drug use. This is a spiritual commitment and people who are in recovery are urged to join as it brings healing to themselves, their family, and the tribe.

In this talk, lawyer and environmental activist Becky Clissmann explores how lawyers can make a difference in the fight against climate change, and how non-lawyers can support them. More about Becky: Becky is a member of The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP) Steering Group and a Senior Editor at Practical Law Environment, Thomson Reuters. Becky helps to develop TCLP’s strategy, participates in the management of the project, peer reviews the climate change clauses drafted by participants and builds relationships with law firms who want to partner with the project. She brings a sound knowledge of environmental law to the project, which helps to ensure that the solutions proposed by partner organisations complement existing environmental policies and schemes. Before qualifying as an environmental lawyer at Eversheds LLP (now Eversheds Sutherland), Becky obtained extensive experience of climate change policy measures working for the Carbon Trust where she set up an account management service for FTSE 250 companies and large public sector organisations. Becky is a co-convenor of the UK Environmental Law Association’s Climate Change and Energy Working Group.
