Sara Snyder Hopkins, Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Cherokee Language Program at Western Carolina University, advocates for preserving Native languages. She shares her personal journey from supporting assimilation to championing the endangered Cherokee language, highlighting reasons for saving dying languages and how non-Natives can contribute.
