The Yale Environmental Sustainability Summit featured two key plenary panels. The first, "Flowing Capital to a Sustainable Future," explored impact investing with Yale alumni. Panelists included Tom Hodgman (NatureVest), Jeff Possick (MissionPoint Partners), Shelby Semmes (Intervale Advisors), and Adam Wolfensohn (Encourage Capital), moderated by Terry Kellogg (Helios Capital Ventures).

The second plenary, "Moving Ahead: Change Making, Sound Science, and the Rule of Law," discussed future directions. Speakers were Paul Anastas (Yale), Tom McHenry (Vermont Law School), and William K. Reilly (World Wildlife Fund; former EPA Administrator). Ingrid C. Burke, Dean of F&ES, served as moderator.

Racism denies humanity, sexism demeans, and their intersection limits true freedom. Frances Cudjoe-Waters, a Black woman and Harvard Law alumna, realized the exhaustion of politely presenting her pain to predominantly white audiences. She decided to abandon polite conversation and speak her truth, declaring, "I Ain't Sorry." She never expected to witness the reemergence of civil rights issues like Charlottesville and repeated acquittals for killings of Black individuals, reminiscent of the 1960s. While seeking to facilitate discussions, she recognized the toll of maintaining dispassionate intellectualism. Her family was featured in the Dallas Morning News.

On November 10, 2021, at COP26 in Glasgow, the University of Cambridge’s Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA) hosted a fireside chat titled 'Accelerating Aviation to Climate Neutrality.' Prof. Rob Miller, Eliot Whittington, and John Holland-Kaye discussed the opportunities and challenges for climate-neutral aviation, stressing a whole-system approach.

The event included a preview of the AIA simulator prototype, designed to guide innovation, investment, and policy. The AIA aims to accelerate the transition to climate-neutral aviation by building an interactive, open-source, whole-system simulator. This tool will facilitate industry alignment and decision-maker engagement, mapping pathways to achieve climate neutrality.
