A January 2022 roundtable convened European business networks and policymakers to discuss achieving a climate-neutral, energy-secure, and prosperous transition for Europe. Businesses are actively pursuing climate ambition, recognizing the economic, social, and environmental benefits of a sustainable future.

The event reflected on progress made amidst recent challenges, including the war in Ukraine's energy consequences, the RePowerEU plan, and Fit for 55 Package negotiations. Speakers presented business-led solutions to scale renewable energy, boost efficiency, accelerate industrial decarbonization, and stimulate green investments. Discussions focused on how policies can empower businesses to tackle the current climate and energy crisis while enhancing the EU's sustainable competitiveness. Ursula Woodburn, CLG Europe, chaired the event.
