Dr. Morgan Levine, author of "True Age," outlines three dietary factors for longevity: quantity, quality, and timing. Caloric restriction (a 20% reduction) has shown lifespan benefits in animals, possibly by preventing overeating. A plant-based diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole foods while limiting animal products and refined sugars, is also beneficial. Fasting, or time-restricted eating, may mimic caloric restriction benefits via 'hormesis,' boosting resilience to aging.
