Equal Rights for Women and Girls

About This Collection

Equal Rights for Women is a major category, like energy or climate change, of sustainability and the voices in this collection are of the present and the past.

If we don't address human rights and social justice of which the sustainability keywords and phrases include children's rights and welfare; human trafficking, slavery, and women's rights and roles, then as David Korten points out, we will not be able to come to terms with the limits of the planet and not even technology will be able to save us.

Global Ambassadors Program Overview by Vital Voices

The Global Ambassadors Program, a partnership between Vital Voices and Bank of America, mentors emerging women leaders globally. Accomplished professionals, including Bank of America executives and other private and public sector leaders, provide guidance to women from the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network.

These mentorships build critical communication, advocacy, and business skills, fostering essential connections and strengthening networks. The program empowers women to create measurable impact, advancing economic opportunity and civic participation in their communities.

Since 2012, successful programs have been convened in numerous countries, including Haiti, South Africa, India, Singapore, Brazil, Qatar, Mexico, Northern Ireland, and Poland.
