The FAO-UNDP SCALA programme significantly boosts the resilience and food security of women farmers in Côte d’Ivoire's cassava value chain. By adopting agroforestry practices, women like Florence increase yields, create valuable byproducts such as attiéké (cassava couscous), and strengthen social bonds. This also protects forest cover and improves soil health.
