Trade Policy Briefs: FAO's support to the WTO negotiations at the 14th Ministerial Conference
March 05, 2026

Ahead of the WTO’s 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14), FAO published seven Trade Policy Briefs on agriculture and fisheries. These briefs highlight how trade policy links to market stability, food security, nutrition, livelihoods, and agrifood system sustainability. To support member negotiations, the FAO Liaison Office in Geneva, with the Markets and Trade Division, hosted a virtual session on February 23, 2026. The session presented the briefs, drawing on FAO’s extensive analytical work and showcasing its technical support, including data and tools.
