Tajikistan will host the 35th FAO Regional Conference for Europe from May 11-15, 2026. This key event unites FAO members from Europe and Central Asia, along with UN bodies, NGOs, academia, and the private sector, to address urgent food and agriculture challenges. The conference, themed "United for Sustainability," focuses on integrating climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration to build sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agrifood systems.

Aligned with FAO's Strategic Framework 2022-2031, the agenda covers sustainable natural resource management, climate change, and biodiversity. Discussions will also tackle external factors like regional crises, the Ukraine war's impact on food security, and financing for agrifood systems. Members will share insights to strengthen resilience and define FAO's future work priorities for the region.
