Tajikistan will host the 35th FAO Regional Conference for Europe (ERC) from May 11-15, 2026. This crucial forum brings together FAO Members from across Europe and Central Asia, along with UN agencies, NGOs, academia, and civil society, for strategic dialogue on the region's most pressing food and agricultural challenges.

Under the theme "United for Sustainability," the conference will explore integrating climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration to promote resilient and inclusive agrifood systems. Discussions will align with FAO's 2022-2031 Strategic Framework, focusing on sustainable natural resource management, climate adaptation, and biodiversity. Key topics also include financing agrifood systems, mitigating impacts of regional crises, and the implications of the war in Ukraine.
