March 26, 2026

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Animal Biosecurity Association (WABA) are launching a webinar series on animal biosecurity, promoting its sustainable implementation across educational, institutional, and field settings. It improves animal health, production, One Health, and food security with practical tools to manage infectious disease threats at the animal-human interface. Presentations include Gonzalo Abad on a data-driven framework for modeling biosecurity risk and Géraldine Boseret on avian influenza preparedness and early action. These sessions demonstrate how evidence-based analytics enhance biosecurity strategies for prevention and response.
