Topics also include how farmers grow organic food and the quality of our food supply around issues to include local economy, seeding, use of pestisides and fertilisers, water, food security, availability and pricing.

Tajikistan will host the 35th FAO Regional Conference for Europe from May 11-15, 2026. This vital platform gathers FAO members from Europe and Central Asia, along with UN bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, to address pressing food and agriculture challenges. The conference, themed "United for Sustainability," focuses on integrating climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration for sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agrifood systems.

Discussions will explore integrated approaches to combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and land degradation, aligning with FAO's Strategic Framework. The agenda also covers external factors like regional crises and the war in Ukraine, examining financing for sustainability and innovative solutions to strengthen agrifood system resilience. Members will guide FAO's future work in the region.
