Tajikistan will host the 35th FAO Regional Conference for Europe (ERC) from May 11-15, 2026. This key forum gathers FAO Members from across Europe and Central Asia, along with UN agencies, NGOs, academia, and civil society, for strategic dialogue on the region's most pressing food and agricultural issues.

Under the theme "United for Sustainability," the conference will focus on integrating climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land restoration to foster sustainable, resilient, and inclusive agrifood systems. Discussions will address external factors like multiple crises, the war in Ukraine, and financing, emphasizing integrated approaches to strengthen resilience. Aligned with the FAO Strategic Framework, the event will review past work and set priorities for 2026-27 and beyond, contributing to better production, nutrition, environment, and life.
