A video documents how the Los Mandarinos Community in Puerto Rico, Pando, empowers youth, women, and families to remain in their territory. Through integrated forest management and diversified production, they enhance the chestnut economy with açaí, majo, agroforestry systems, nurseries, trails, bridges, and a processing plant.

The story highlights women's leadership, exemplified by Imelda Limpia Pedraza, who took on community responsibilities and leadership when her husband migrated. With support from FAO's Forest and Farm Facility and AAICAM, the community fosters resilient livelihoods, adds value, and conserves the forest.
