The FAO Global Innovation Accelerator's ACCESS project in Bangladesh introduces sustainable agricultural mechanization (SAM) to 1,500 smallholder farming families through Farmer Field Schools (FFS). This hands-on, farmer-led approach empowers participants to test and innovate with scale-appropriate machinery, generating locally relevant solutions.

The pilot demonstrates significant potential, particularly for women like Marufa Begum, who now feel comfortable using machinery. Building on decades of experience, the project is designed for scalability within ACCESS and with government partners.
